Why does Mundo Illumination solely use LEDs as a light source?
LED technology brings several advantages to lighting, including high efficiency and durability. With superior life over traditional light sources, LEDs require reduced maintenance, which translates into energy savings and maintenance savings, or an overall reduction in the total cost of ownership.

Beyond the simple economics we are committed to a light source that is environmentally responsible: The longer life of LEDs reduces waste; LEDs contain no mercury or lead; our products are RoHS (Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances) compliant.

Green Buildings and LEED:
LED lighting systems can significantly contribute to obtaining LEED certification for both new and existing buildings, through their long life, dimming capabilities, and high energy efficiency, resulting in low heat generation and reduced air conditioning load. LED lighting can contribute to LEED certification in the areas of Energy and Atmosphere, Sustainable Sites, Indoor Environmental Quality and Innovation & Design Process.
